Hi, I'm Valeria, owner of Whispers! Caring for animals has always been a big part of who I am. I grew up spending summers at my grandma’s farm in Peru, surrounded by dogs, cats, ducks, chicks, and lambs. Seeing her love for her animals and helping her care for them sparked a deep love and respect for animals. One of my most meaningful bonds was with my own dog, Kira, who I cared for over 13 years, even in her later years when she needed a wheelchair (my Dachshund suffered from IVDD) and extra attention. That experience taught me that pets aren’t just animals, they’re family.
Today, I bring that same love and commitment to every pet I visit. My team and I focus on creating a safe and nurturing space, whether we’re caring for a shy cat, an energetic pup, or multiple pets at once. With years of experience and constant training, we’re attentive to every detail, keeping their area clean, following routines, and giving detailed updates.
We know how hard it is to leave your pet, but we promise to treat them like our own!

We know trusting someone with your pet and your home is a big decision. Here are answers to some of the most common questions we receive.
How are keys handled?
How are keys handled?
If your home does not have keyless entry, we require a secure lockbox or another approved form of on-site access. For the safety and efficiency of our team, there must be a reliable way to enter your home at the time of service.

Will I receive updates after each visit?
Yes! After every visit, you’ll receive a detailed update through the Time to Pet Portal, including notes on how your pet did and photos when available. We believe clear communication is key to peace of mind, so you’ll always know how your pet is doing while you’re away.
What is your cancellation policy?

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations to ensure seamless scheduling.
If you need to cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled service, please call us at (916) 385-3404. Cancellations made within 24 hours will incur a 5% cancellation fee, which will be automatically added to your invoice.
What are the pet requirements?
What are the pet requirements?
For everyone’s safety, all pets must be current on core vaccinations, including Rabies, DHPP/FVRCP, and Bordetella. Pets must also be on up-to-date flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives and have no known zoonotic diseases.
What happens in case of an emergency?
What happens in case of an emergency?
In the event of a medical emergency, if you or your listed emergency contact cannot be reached promptly, you authorize Whispers Pet Sitting to seek veterinary care at the facility listed in your account. We are also authorized to make treatment decisions based on the attending veterinarian’s recommendations. We put your pet's life first.
All medical costs incurred are the pet owner’s responsibility.

If you need to request a service within 24 hours, please call us at (916) 385-3404. While we’ll do our best, same-day or last-minute requests cannot be guaranteed.
